Dear colleagues, we are going to present a report on the child's right to a safe home very shortly. In addition to the brainstorming that we had in our class on children's right to a safe home, healthcare and humanitarian assistance, I have prepared additional tasks for my students in order to carry out the Assignment 1 of the Challenge 1: Report as well as to analyze the Articles 22,24 and 27 of The Un Convention. It helped them grasp this important issue and advocate children's rights everywhere they are: at school, in the street, at a meeting with friends and colleagues.

This is our world and the way we see it : on one side there are poor children and difficult life circumstances ,
the ones that lack the appropriate and necessary care,
the ones whose family can't offer him/her to develop in an adequate way.
A child is vulnerable and has the right to be safe, the right to a standard of living adequate for the child's physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development.
On the other side: there are mean , greedy, selfish and tight-fisted people, who lack compassion,
as well as the concern for helping to improve the welfare and happiness of children all over the world.
It has been a real challenge for us to find the heroes for our interview, but we finally succeeded thanks to the Charity Centre for Refugees in Moldova. And here is our report in the digital tool Voicethread!

It really gives us great pleasure to be able to look at such amazing work from open minded people from around the world. We think that your poems and videos are very inspirational and insightful and we think that if these were shown to other people, they would be touched and will be willing to make a difference. The videos that were created by your brilliant minds were absolutely phenomenal. It really shows the problems faced by children from around the world. The way you guys phrase and explain you points is really good and knowing that other individuals in the world are thinking the same way as yourself is very interesting. We love the fact that you guys really took it a step further by making videos and really entertaining us with your amazing work. We could really see the passion and the love that went into the work. This makes us aware of your hard work and dedication. Your visual arts created such an impression on us as we didn’t expect such precise detail in each drawing and we appreciate the way each drawing goes into depth with every problem we are facing. We really liked your work and we have definitely learned something new from this extraordinary experience. Thank you so much for that. The video about a mother sending her child to another place touched us the most. It was really an emotional video. It has many life lessons.

we were touched by your life story, absolutely impressed by your strength, will-power and firmness to reveal the truth about child labour (kamalari system) in your country and stand by all girls that are kamalari or former ones. After we had watched the video, we were moved by your hard work as a president at Kamalari Girls' Freedom Forum, your pursuit to rescue, support and help Kamalari girls. The Lawa Juni Girls Hostel has a great job in rescuing and supporting former kamalaris, an amazing centre for rehabilitating young, damaged souls, that hadn't had the opportunity to enjoy their childhood. Being girls ourselves, we can understand your effort to display the problem, we can understand your emotions, feelings and the situation that damaged your childhood.If you feel the need to speak to somebody about your problems or feelings, we will be there for you. As I said, we support your heartfelt plea to the governament, to abolish the kamalari sistem, to educate the girls and to implement the idea that girls weren't born to be kamalaris, to be used as slaves, abused and unrespected by others, they are equal to others in your society and must be treated properly, with respect. We would like to ask you about your family, brothers and sisters, how they were treated during your work as a kamalari? How you managed to deal with being homesick? Dear GTP Jury and Unicef,
Hello, my name is Veronica and I am 17. I live in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. I am a student at the Theoretical Lyceum "Liviu Rebreanu" and I also additionally study English at the American Language Center. I am keen on biology, chemistry, physics and maths. Besides, I am an active volunteer for Hospice Angelus, an organization that ensures medical, social and psycho-emotional care for patients (Children including ) suffering from cancer and other incurable illnesses.
This Learning Circle offered me a lot of experience and nice and constructive feedback from amazing people, but the most important thing for me has been the opportunity to change the world for better, to support children in need and to make them happier. As far as I'm concerned, children's rights must be followed and respected by every person all around the world, regardless of gender, race, religion, material state or origin. With the help of this project, we could raise awareness and attention to children's rights in our country through some charity events in order to secure a true and happy childhood for kids in need. In addition, the interviews taken from some of the refugees helped us advocate for the refugees’ rights and needs. Furthermore, we have made an outreach to the local authorities as to make the refugee’s voice being heard, thus helping them integrate safely in their host country.
As for the new changes, I thought about a new rule that could guarantee that children’s rights are respected properly. As you can see, in our country (Republic of Moldova), even if we have organizations that try to secure the money transactions and donations that arrive here from other countries, we observed that we have a lot of orphanages, foster families, child care homes, kinships that lack financial support which is necessary for children’s adequate care. This way, even if there is financial support it doesn’t arrive to kids and thus their rights are not being fulfilled, such as: the right to an adequate way of living, the right to proper care, the right of the child to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health and to facilities for the treatment of illness and rehabilitation of health, as well as the right to protection and humanitarian assistance. Sometimes they even don’t have the right to proper education.
Concluding, I can say that kids in this country don’t have their rights respected, because there is not enough money. Therefore, I think than UNICEF could help us ensure that all the financial support that is given from different organizations is fully directed to children. Besides, due to corruption and political, economical, social instability in the Republic of Moldova, the right amount of money doesn’t arrive to the children. As far as I am concerned, because of too many intermediates between charity organizations and orphanages, the money that finally arrive are nearly 10-20% from the initial sum. Because of this, child care centers and orphanages lack the right amount of clothes, food, toys, academic resources like books, interactive games and even special people or caretakers for children with disabilities or different diseases.
It is a heartfelt plea to all of you to take the necessary measures in order to ensure that the money you or other organizations give us goes straight to the kids, but not in the "wrong" hands. I firmly believe that this way we can ensure that the kids will have a safe and happy childhood, that their rights will be protected and respected and they will become true citizens of our country.

Hello my name is Nica and I'm from American Language Center (ALC). It was my first time to participate in such kind of project and I can say that for me it was an amazing and marvelous experience. Firstly, I was introduced to children rights and I could raise awareness and attention to children's rights in our country, Republic of Moldova.I was given the opportunity to change the world for better through this Learning Circle. Secondly, I could socialize with children from different countries and recieve their constructive and valuable feedback. Thirdly, this project offered me the treasured knowledge on civic topics and the precious chance to write the letter for the jury, that contained a new rule that guaranteed that children's rights are respected properly. In conclusion, I can say that this project is essential for all children all around the world, because only by raising awareness, we can ensure a proper generation that will stop the injustice and ensure that the children's rights are respected, and every child in the world would have a happy childhood.
